As a certified participant of the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Program, NTS Services is eligible to receive sole-source contracts, up to a ceiling of $4 million for goods and services and $6.5 million for manufacturing. The 8(a) program helps small, disadvantaged businesses build their competitive and institutional know-how. 8(a) firms are also able to form joint ventures and teams to bid on contracts. This enhances the ability of 8(a) firms to perform larger prime contracts and overcome the effects of contract bundling, the combining of two or more contracts together into one large contract.

Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB)

The Woman Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program (WOSB) was implemented in February 2011 with the goal of expanding the number of industries where WOSB were able to compete for business with the federal government. This program enables Economically Disadvantaged (EDWOSBs) and WOSBs to compete for federal contracts that are set-aside for WOSBs in industries where women-owned small businesses are substantially underrepresented. Under the authority of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 2000, Public Law 106-554. Section 811 the Federal government must award 5% of its prime and subcontract dollars to WOSBs.
